Biography

My name is Michelle Vavra-Parker, and my love for interior design began very young during car rides with my parents through the Connecticut countryside and along the coast. Here, I developed an early appreciation for the architecture of old homes. I worked in the manufacturing, health insurance, and medical fields, which gave me important insight into what I enjoyed most in each role: helping people. I did not pursue design professionally until after the birth of my daughter, Kaitlin, which eventually led me to start my company, MVP Designs, in September 1994. I returned to college and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design in 2004. Over a career spanning more than 30 years, I have been privileged to work on many interesting projects across several states and countries. I love making a difference in my community by guiding clients through the design process and helping turn their dreams into reality. I remain grateful for the opportunity to work with such amazing people and for their continued support.
